What Makes Powerboat Superleague the Planet's Greenest Racing Series?
  • Minimal Fuel Consumption - Compared to other motorsports, Powerboat Superleague's boats use a small fraction of the fossil fuels in racing. Plus, we welcome all marine bio-fuel manufacturers to use our series as a testing ground for their products.

  • No Tires - Since we race boats, we use no tires. Compare that to the millions of tires wasted every year in auto and motorcycle racing!

  • Fewer Races = Smaller Carbon Footprint - Powerboat Superleague's schedule typically includes 8 - 10 events every year. Compare this to the thousands of other racing events across the country throughout the year and our effect on the environment is miniscule.

  • Races are Conducted on Reusable Race Courses - Powerboat Superleague races on lakes and rivers, not large purpose-built race tracks. When our racing is complete, our race courses are reopened for commerce and recreation.

  • We Promote Responsible Water Use - Powerboat Superleague races on lakes and rivers in metropolitan areas. When our series arrives. all eyes are on the waterways and the shorelines are filled with anxious spectators. Before, during and after our events, Powerboat Superleague enourages shoreline clean-up and clean water initiatives. This isn't just for the safety of our drivers while racing on the waters, but it is also for the benefit of our host cities and the environment as a whole.

  • Slight Use of Electricity - Since Powerboat Superleague only races during the day, our racing does not need any type of lighting support. The PA System and race control computers require a tiny amount of electricity that is provided by the host city. (Attention Solar and Wind Energy Companies - we would like to provide our own energy! Give us a call!)
